Applied R&D / product development

Expertise is visible in the relationships between people, topics and their work.

The challenge

Job titles are coarse, keywords are ambiguous and self-reported expertise is incomplete. Strong evidence that someone understands a subject may sit across publications, projects, collaborators and patterns of past work.

What we explored

Panalogy developed graph- and AI-based approaches for representing expertise as connected evidence. The system examines relationships between people, topics, work and other signals to support discovery.

What this enables

  • Semantic matching between problems and people.
  • Relationship-aware discovery and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Recommendations supported by evidence.
  • Reuse within organisational knowledge systems.
